  • What is a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)?
    A CMMS software package maintains a computer database of information about an organization’s maintenance operations. This information is intended to help maintenance workers do their jobs more effectively and to help management make informed decision. CMMS data may also be used to verify regulatory compliance.
  • Who uses the CMMS and where is it used?
    All TAMHSC uses the CMMS to submit Work Requests for anything related to TAMHSC facilities.
  • What does a CMMS do for the HSC and what are the benefits?
    The CMMS is used to keep records of all Work Requests, record all maintenance activity, and track all assets within HSC.
  • Who can submit a Work Request?
    Only TAMHSC faculty and staff can submit a Work Request, and they must apply for permission to submit requests. See FAQ of "How do I apply for permission to submit Work Requests?".

  • How do I submit a Work Request?
    By filling out Work Request Form on this website.
  • How do I apply for permission to submit Work Requests?
    By filling out the appropriate form (HSC user or non-HSC user) on this page and submitting to the TAMHSC Facilities Department.
  • How to I get the status of my Work Request?
    EMAILs will be sent to the address specified in the Work Request form at various steps of the Work Request process. A final status message will be sent when a given Work Request has been completed.
  • Whom can I contact for questions about my Work Request?

Form Request Problems

  • Why does my browser not show the form after I login using my Windows credentials?
    In Internet Explorer a message can appear at the bottom of the screen that says "Only secure content is displayed.". There are several ways to handle this situation:
    1. Use Firefox or Chrome browsers to access the form.
    2. Always click on the "Show All the Content" button
    3. Follow the instructions in the following article:
